HBD Mason’s Ave Opticians Practice Update – June 2020
I wanted to write personally to all of our patients and customers to let you all know that we have been here in the practice trying to help in any way we can. As we are part of the medical profession, your optical health and welfare has always been our priority and we will continue to try to assist the best we can over the coming weeks in the build-up to the easing of the lockdown constraints.
We have had to reduce our staff in the practice but we are still operating an Essential and Emergency/Urgent clinic only, between the hours of 10.00 - 14.00, Mon to Fri. This is a temporary set up and we have helped reduce the number of patients experiencing difficulty. Our idea was to provide a service to reduce the need to call upon the NHS services for help, thus supporting the NHS 111 and Moorfields Eye Hospital A & E services. Contact us at the practice via phone or email for any Optical issues you may have.
We will be introducing a Socially Distant Clinic Schedule that will be in place once we re-open for routine sight tests. We are tentatively taking bookings for this new set up from Monday 1st of June 2020. If you feel you are due an appointment, please contact the practice or send an email and we will be able to arrange this for you. Guidelines for booking an appointment are at the end of this message.
I have recently spoken to some patients who have been adjusting to the difficulties of the lockdown, with working from home, homeschooling and even isolation loneliness being amongst the difficult changes to adjust to. Please rest assured that there is an end in sight and I hope that we at HBD Mason’s Ave can offer some assurance of Optical help being within reach when and if needed.
We look forward to hopefully seeing you all when we can and please stay safe and healthy.
